Hello! I'm looking for participants to help with a small art project in the tradition of mail art and one-day documentation.
On April 12, 2026, I'll be in Taipei visiting my mom. I'd like to document that day, and I need your help:
- Choose a time between 6 AM and 8 PM. Let's say you choose “1:23 PM.” At that time on April 12, I’ll take note of whatever I’m observing: a stray cat, a sentence, something I'm eating, or a sound I'm hearing. I’ll make something from that observation (a drawing, a photograph, a few lines of text) and mail it to you from Taipei.
- Respond to the page and mail it back to me in Brooklyn, NY. After you receive it, respond and mail it back to me within two weeks. By respond I mean anything — you can draw or write on the page, make a separate artwork as a response, crumple it, or tear it up.
I'll scan everything that comes back and assemble it into a zine. I'll send you a copy, of course.
